-- yesterday we went with Nanee to the Botanical Gardens. the weather was a little cloudy, which was GREAT because it is so darn hot and humid here in the st. louis!!-- Jason took a bath in the tub. he has done this one time before at our house, but it was lots more fun here at Nanee and Grandy's because they have bath toys!!
-- Matt started grad school yesterday! here he is in his first class-- its all online, so he can be really flexible with his time!

-- we went to Grant's Farm with Aunt Susan, which is the place where the Anheiser Busch clydesdales live. Jason was overly tired and screamed during the entire little tram ride- which was probably only 15 minutes long, but seemed like an hour! he calmed down a bit once he went in the Baby Bjorn with Dad. there were lots of animals there- kinda zoo-like.

-- today we had a surprise visit from Dan and Mark on their motorcycles! they are riding their bikes from cincinnati all the way to san francisco-- and stopped by st. louis on the way! we saw Mark last week at home in cincinnati to say "good-bye" before he moves to Cali... and then had the wonderful surprise of seeing him and Dan DURING their road trip adventure!

-- this was Dan's first introduction to Jason-- and, in turn, Jason's first introduction to a motorcycle!

-- (on a side note: they are travelling through Colorado and down to Flagstaff... so if anyone knows friends or family they could stay with in Denver or Flagstaff in the next few days, let me know! they will most likely be camping, but a nice home to stay in after riding on a motorcycle all day would be much appreciated, I'm sure!)

-- and we finished up the day today with Ted Drewes' frozen custard with my friends from highschool, Leah and Clayton. unfortunately, I don't have any photos with them. it was so awesome to see them, though, and have them meet Jason and get to know Matt a little more!

Jason's face on the motorcycle is PRICELESS
