it's a wonderful life...

... even with holes in suits, its a great life we are living!

yes, its true- Matt's one and only other suit is also ruined. but not by the little worm, by the drycleaner. (although, they say, the suit already had a big tear in it when we brought it in)
so Matt is now one of those guys who doesn't own a suit. good thing we don't have any more weddings in the near future! we said that we would go get him a suit when he is finished with his master's program and if he ever has a job interview for an administrator position. until then, he thinks he can make due with a sports coat or something. we'll see...

it's a wonderful life because:

- little Audrey was born on Sept. 13 to Tim and Daphane. she is breathing, eating on her own, all vital signs are great, she just had surgery on her little head Monday and seems to be recovering well. the doctors told Tim and Daphane that they would never take Audrey home, that she wouldn't be able to eat on her own, that she would have seizures, that she might not even be born alive. yet, here she is! God really can do amazing things!

- Matt is turning 30 years old tomorrow!

here's little Matty:

and here's Matt now as a really great Papa!:

- Jason is learning how to stand up on his own. he has no balance at all, but he is a little climber and trying to find things to pull up on. its kinda scary to watch, though, because I just know he is going to fall smack on his face. but I have to let him explore and try!

he's also been a wonderful napper for me, for the most part. he always goes down without crying and even if he doesn't fall asleep right away, he will lay quietly in his bed. he wakes up happy in the mornings and seems happy to be put in his crib to sleep at night. this is my little boy who I thought would NEVER learn to fall asleep on his own and would NEVER stop waking up in the middle of the night! but, here we are, going on 5 months of 12 hour/night sleep! I LOVE it! so everyone was right when they told me that "things will get better." I really didn't believe them- but it's true. and I am SO thankful!

--so here's the last photos for today-- Jason thinking about how he can get himself up to those toys on the shelf! I'll let you know when he figures it out!

hope to see you all on Saturday at the big birthday shin-dig!
