last week, we decided to be drive up to camp in Michigan to attend the wedding of our good friends Sarah and Shawn. now, when Jason was a newborn, even the thought of doing such a thing would have been totally absurd and laughable. however, this little girl has been so easy going and laid back that we figured we would go for it! I mean, really, this has been about all she has done for the first 3 weeks of her life:

and she did not let us down! she continued her trend of eating and sleeping with little protest or fussyness.

Jason did awesome, as well. He has taken the role of being a big brother so wonderfully- he is helpful, gentle, gives her (and me!) space... and continues to be his funny, creative, talkative little self. (though we have had a definite increase in the role-play of being a baby!)

- while in MI, we got in Jason's very first round of mini putt-putt golf. he got a lot of holes-in-one because his favorite technique was to just walk the ball right up to the hole and drop it in. hey- whatever works!
Karah was also able to meet some of her relatives for the first time, which was great!
(well, she mainly slept through the introductions...)

Other than our trip up to MI, we have just been hanging out around the 'Nati-- trying to keep the days as routine as possible for Jason. it really is WONDERFUL having both Matt and I home for these 2 months or so. Jason still gets lots of attention, we can hand off our little Karah newborn to one another when it gets a bit frustrating, we are able to do fun family activities together, and just enjoy being a new family of 4!here are a few snapshots of us at a concert in the park last week:

Thank you for the new pics and update! I am home from the cousins reunion which was great!
ReplyDeletethat pic of Karah is PRESH!:)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things are still going great!
ReplyDeleteI love how Jason looks in all of his action shots. He looks like a natural golfer in the first shot, and a natural dog owner in the second one. He is a cute kid.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't do too bad with Karah, either. ;)
